Luck has been described as opportunity meeting preparedness. With that in mind, consider our mission to provide the opportunity to be prepared — that is, teach children to swim, surf and be confident — and one day they may have the opportunity to become a surf instructor in their home towns and share in the riches of thriving tourism. It was a simple idea, that has turned into a reality through generosity and compassion. Our mission is personified by the story of two Las Tortuguitas students who were first simply students. They rose in abilities to become helpers with the other younger students, and since have graduated to become professional surf instructors working in the area with groups and families.
